Here is a list of things you will get if you win this auction:

1 Canon EOS 1DS Digital SLR Camera.
1 Firewire Cable (very long).
1 Canon Branded NP-E3 rechargeable Battery.
1 Canon Battery Charger (can charge two batteries at once).
1 Canon Battery Coupler and Mains Adaptor (used together will power camera from mains).
2 UK Mains Cables.
1 Canon Neck Strap.
1 Canon Hand Strap E1 (currently fitted to the camera as you see in picture, for secure hand holding)
1 Canon EOS-1 DS Instruction Manual.
1 Canon EOS-1 DS Software Instruction Book (for Mac AND Windows).
1 Canon Quick Operation Guide.
1 Canon Charger Instructions.
1 Canon Digital EOS 1 Series Accessory Leaflet.
1 Canon EOS Digital Solution v4.0 CD Rom (for Mac AND Windows).

The following items are extras that are included.
1 Canon Branded NP-E3 extra Battery.
1 CD Rom with Updates, various Shareware RAW utilities and some Photoshop plug-ins and image tools.
1 CD Rom with every issue of The North East Photo Journal, my own publication, to date in PDF format.
1 Printed Copy of NEPJ the original first issue, just for fun, it is normally only available electronically.

The Canon EOS 1 series of DSLRs are built to last, with environmental seals and gaskets, unlike other Canon DSLR range.
The EOS 1Ds camera has a full frame (same size as 35mm) sensor. Lenses appear and the same as with a 35mm SLR.
This camera was the most advanced SLR ever made when it first came out, and it still out-performs most others today.

Extras included are an extra Genuine Canon camera battery (value of around £100), a CD which contain shareware RAW Utils and Editor Plug-ins, and some updated Canon Software. As a special extra I am including a printed copy of the original first issue of The North East Photo Journal, my Journal which is published quarterly. Also included is a CD of every issue to date in PDF form, (You can download it free anyway, but I will include CD for the winner's convenience.)

There are some minor use marks on the camera - mainly the usual wear from using the camera, most obvious is the flash hot-shoe wear from using a Canon Speedlight on the camera. Please see the enlarged pictures for details of wear.

For a professional grade camera, the camera has not been used very much. The file counter has remained on 'continuous' since I bought the camera and the last shot that I fired counted as file number 9811. According to reviews Canon built the camera to withstand a MINIMUM of 150 thousand shutter actuations, so this camera is at the very early part of its working life.

The reason for such low use is that I have more than one DSLR and I need to sell this to fund a purchase of the new model.

I am not great at cleaning sensors, or maybe I just don't have a dust free environment, but I just cleaned it with Eclipse solution and a Visible Dust Sensor Brush (not included in the auction) and it is as clean as I can get it (I have seen worse).
If any serious bidders want to see last week's test images at f16 and f22, I can email them, just so you know what you are getting. Bear in mind that each one is about 3MB in size, so unless you have broadband you may be waiting a while to get the mail (also make sure you have plenty of Inbox space for two files that size).

If you are worried about the dust, bear in mind that there are people better suited to cleaning sensors than me (mostly repairers based in London or the South of England), I just do it myself for convenience. DSLRs are what they are and those who use them know this.

Any pro photographer knows this camera is well built, and it will make a great bargain for whoever bids on it and wins.
Feel free to ask any questions.
